Profit Share Program

Earn Some Pocket Money

What is the Profit Share Program?

We have introduced a Profit Share program for girls under 15 years old. We curate collaborative projects where girls can participate and benefit financially. Those who have registered with us are invited to participate in these unique, one-off experiences. These are explained below:

Teen Journal

This is a collaboration project with Kasia Gospos from Leaders in Heels.

We have invited tween and teen girls to be part of The Design Team, headed up by Renee Rogers. They give us feedback on things such as colour, content and cover. We use online team management tools like #slack, giving the girls experiences not unlike those they would have in the workplace. They have to commit to deadlines which are important to keeping a project like this on schedule.

When the journal design is complete it will be crowdfunded. Again an experience the girls can choose to be part of and profit share in.

Cookbook

Girls were invited to contribute a recipe. This was a simple recipe book for kids, so we asked girls to give us their favourites. It only had twelve recipes (on average only 2% of recipes in cookbooks are used – we wanted to ensure all of these were used so we kept it brief). We designed it, crowd funded it and printed it.

The girls who participated in the Profit Share Program earned up to $3.00 per book. They bought the books at a discount, were then responsible for selling, invoicing and shipping their books (mostly delivering by hand). Some girls, who feature in the cookbook, seized this opportunity with both hands and had their spend, save, and share plans for their hard earned money sorted. This was an opportunity available to anyone who choose to seize it.

Why do we have such a program?

Sparking entrepreneurialism with our young is setting them up with foundational tools that they can use in all aspects of their life.

The idea came to us after spending a year designing gifts for girls. We wanted to create something that was lasting and tangible but also involved the girls we normally designed for.

Who is eligible?

This program is available to children 15 years old or younger.

You must register with us. It is simple – filling out the form below.

How does it work?

  1. Decide how many books you would like to sell (why not pre-sell before you buy like Kate did)
  2. You can start with an order as small as you like.
  3. Fill out this form.
  4. We will get in contact with you via your nominated email.
  5. We will invoice you for copies of the book.
  6. Upon payment we will deliver your books safely to your door.
  7. We don’t refund you for any unsold books, that is part of the experience, but we are here to help each step of the way if you need it.

How much can I make?

Each project is different. The Cookbook you could earn AUD$3.00 for every book you sold under this program. (we still have a few left if you would like to buy some). If you order 10 books you can earn $30.00 in pocket money. It is up to you who you would like to sell the book to. It is also up to you whether you would like to spend, save or share what you earn.

What do we ask in return?

To date there have been some wonderfully creative and energetic ways the products have been promoted and sold. You get to hear about those stories and how they went about it, here on this Blog. If you participate in these programs there is nothing we enjoy more than to share your story – it is worth telling. So, in short we would really like to interview you. Here is one we did with Kate Plowman.

Why do I need to be registered?

We take care of those in our community and we like to make sure that everyone who participates does so in a thoughtful manner. If you participate in Profit Share, our Schools Program or as a guest contributor we need to know who you are.

Profit Share Program

This does not commit you to the program merely registers your interest so you can be notified of opportunities.
