Good morning – haven’t much time. I must away, to work, to play.
But I thought I should write
a quick poem on celebration.
What is celebration?
it’s the way that every Christmas smells the same
and the taste of tradition.
If I were pressed for an answer, I’d summarise...

for the delicious dream I’d had before,
the one I wished to dream of more.
I ignored the cotton candy clouds,
the sugar mice speaking out loud,
the cinnamon dusted apple pie.
Too wrapped up in looking was I.
The things I love
I love the way that the birds sing
On a lovely day
I love the way that my mum and dad cuddle me
It makes everything okay
I love the way my friends smile
I could do anything
I love the way that my brother holds my hand
